In the time we have been living in Nhulunbuy we have been continually asking God for more clarity about why He called us to Nhulunbuy. Again and again, Tim heard the Lord confirm that he was to work at the local high school. I heard again and again that God wanted me to work in admin at Anglicare. We found so many significant relationships in our workplaces and we have been so blessed to be part of the local community in Nhulunbuy.
Amazing things have been happening across East Arnhemland. MAF missionaries continue to serve the communities by providing services through their aviation projects. The God's Dreaming artwork is being shared in various communities and there are incredible stories of people being healed and encountering Jesus. There are local Yolngu leaders coming together to meet about Jesus' One Way call and there are more stories mass baptisms in communities not far from where we are. We feel really honoured to be here at this time and prayerfully supporting the church in this region.
This year is a new adventure for us as we stepped out of what we knew into another unknown. Tim has given up his contracted role at the school to create more time for the other things God has been calling us to. In the last two weeks, God provided us with an amazing house. God provided us with a week of interim accommodation before the house was ready (thanks MAF!). God provided us with all the furniture and appliances we needed to furnish the new house. God provided us with friends and strangers who helped Tim move our belongings when I hurt my back and could only lie in bed. God answered some very specific prayers for a yard for Moose (our dog), a shed for storage, and a carport just for the luxury of having a shaded place to work on the car! God has answered all our prayers and more.
In less than a week, we were hosting Bible Studies and celebrating God's goodness.
We are really excited about this coming year and what God is going to do. We have a lot of ideas and a lot of questions, but even more than that, a lot of peace.
Please keep us in your prayers and we will keep you posted!
